We are pleased to announce the launch of the 2026 Pittsburgh Print Group (PPG) call for entries. Selected artists and artworks will be included in one of a series of three group exhibitions around Allegheny County in Pittsburgh, PA, in the Fall/Winter of 2026. The open call is open to active members of PPG, juried and curated by Hannah Turpin and Michaela Blanc, and organized by the PPG Board of Directors.
The call will be open from December 1st, 2025 until January 11, 2026 11:59 pm (EST).
Entries can be made individually, in duos, or as an artist collective.
Entries must include the following elements:
● C.V. or Resume including artist name, email address, and list of recent exhibitions.
● Artist Statement describing the themes, methods, and areas of interest of your creative practice (minimum 150 words).
● Images and an Image List detailing up to 10 different artworks. Please include things you would be excited to exhibit and/or artworks you feel encapsulate your practice. Image List should include artwork title, date, medium description, and dimensions.
● OPTIONAL: If you are working on anything new and do not yet have images, please include a brief description of your current project mentioning its themes, visuals, and anticipated outcome.
The curatorial program invites artists to display artworks that challenge artistic languages and enhance interdisciplinary expressions. Printmakers interested in bringing experimental materials in dialogue with traditional printmaking processes and substances into the gallery space are welcome to submit artworks. How can printmaking, as a visual language, comment on and document its moment? What other printmaking processes can speak to archival notions that communicate about experimental expressions and give you a look into our current realities?
Printmakers working in multidisciplinary ways as well as artists interested in expanding the medium and its traditional languages and modes of operation, are invited to submit projects. This could include prints combined with painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, bioart, creative writing, photography, performance, mixed media, metal, glass, fiber, ceramics, time-based media, and sound elements.
Please note: If your work was conceived or has a digital element, include all technical details and procedures for the installation process, such as the need for outlets, speakers, and power cords, and whether you can provide them.
For more information, email the Pittsburgh Print Group at pittsburghprintgroup.org.
Please note: Artists can expect to hear back from the curatorial team in February 2026. A studio visit with the curatorial team is likely to take place in March 2026. Final artist and artwork selection is set to be announced in April 2026.
