Join us at Artists Image Resource (AIR), in Pittsburgh, PA, for an afternoon in the exhibition Consumption, the first show in the three-part series Notes on Prints and Printmaking. The series is co-organized by Pittsburgh Print Group, and curated by Hannah Turpin and Michaela Blanc. Visitors are welcome to tour the exhibition, then spend hands-on time with Cincinnati-based visual artist Stephanie Berrie @berriestephanie, learning to screenprint a paper flower from start to finish. In this social practice experience, participants will be invited to add their flower to Berrie’s installation Monstrous Garden (2025) in the show. Consumption, the first exhibition in the series, considers what it means to take something in: to absorb, to use up, to feel taken, and changed by contact. The prints gathered here are rarely just images of consumption — of desire, appetite, media, material, labor, embodiment. Instead, they are records of it.
