My work is directly inspired by two things; the work of Janet Fish, and the city I live in. Still lifes inspire endless combinations of colors, shapes, reflections, and subject matter.
The city of Pittsburgh often inspires my linoleum prints. The changing post-industrial landscape lends itself well to the graphic medium of block prints. Pittsburgh is changing before our eyes, and I think I’m in a unique position to record it.
