Kathleen Charnley goes by Kat. She grew up in Western New York, an area abundant with geographical wonders which influenced her love of nature. Kat discovered printmaking while obtaining her undergraduate degree from The College at Brockport, Brockport, NY. After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree concentrating in drawing, Kat was certain she wanted to immerse herself in printmaking. She is currently attending her second year at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in pursuit of a Master of Fine Arts degree in printmaking.
In addition to being a student, Kat is an educator. She currently teaches printmaking at Pittsburgh Center for Arts and Media. She also maintains an active professional career which includes national exhibitions and master printing experience. Kat remains engaged with her community and brings people together through making.
