Focus on both traditional and contemporary etching techniques in this multi-level class Learn to apply relief, intaglio, and monoprinting techniques onto a variety of commercial papers Make images you can hand color, collage and reproduce Continuing students are welcome Paper and plates can be purchased in class.

Get introduced to various methods of printing The first session, which takes place at Artist Image Resource, will introduce you to lithography and photo litho processes At the second session, at PCA, learn to print with polymer plates Each session will include demonstrations and hands-on printmaking activities An information sheet will be sent to you upon registration Session one meets directly at AIR (Artist Image Resource, 518 Foreland St, Pittsburgh PA 15212) Session two meets at the Printmaking Studio at PCA.

Leonard Leibowitz is showing his master prints in many
prestigious exhibitions and recently won the New York
Central Art Supply award at The Society of American
Graphic Artist exhibition. The New York City
Public Library selected one of his prints for their
collection. Leonard also has prints in the
American Color Print Society exhibition and the
Workman's
Circle exhibition entitled Angels and Demons.

Lithography is a printmaking method for printing on a smooth surface. Overview the lithography process from past to present and produce a single color litho print, and methods to achieving photographic to hand drawn litho. Also learn pronto plate printing, an efficient and environmentally friendly way to go direct to the plate. Cover one, two and three color printing processes using pronto plates, a safe, simple and cost effective process for non-toxic art printmaking. An information sheet will be mailed upon registration.
Holiday Cardmaking Workshop (NEW!)
instructor: Lindsay Woge PBA 104 - Level: All Children’s Studio 2 Mondays, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm November 5 and November 12 $70 members, $95 non-members (basic materials included in the fee)
Tired of buying commercial, ready-made greeting cards? Then make your own holiday cards this season using stamping, collage, drawing, painting and mixed media. Also learn basic papermaking techniques as you craft your own, personalized cards! A supply list sent upon registration.
